These are the beers we’ve enjoyed (or not) and reviewed on our podcasts:
- Allagash White (Allagash Brewing, Portland, ME) — A close call, may need replay.
- BB Burgerbrau (Czech Republic) — A Euro Bud, or Schlitz.
- Baltic Thunder Porter (Victory Brewing, Downington, PA) — pleasant.
- Black Tusk Ale (Whistler Brewing, BC, Canada) — Fairly good black ale.
- Blue Moon Belgian White (Blue Moon Brewing, Golden, CO) — Right down the middle.
- Chatoe Rogue (Rogue brewing, Newport, OR) — Pleasure in simplicity
- Drop Top Amber (Widmer Bros. Brewing, Portland, OR) — nice affordable malty goodness.
- Duchesse de Borgogne (Brouweru Verhaeghe Vichte, Belgium) — Pucker Up!
- Full Moon Winter Ale (Blue Moon Brewing, Golden, CO) — Winter not as good as summer.
- Ginger Pale Ale (Trade Route Brewing, Seattle, WA) — Laughing Buddha, dammit!
- Goose Bumps Imperial Stout (MacTarnahans Brewing, Portland OR) — No Royalty.
- Hazelnut Brown Nectar (Rogue Brewing, Newport, OR) — Drinks well year ’round
- Imperial Choklat Stout (Southern Tier Brewing, Lakewood, N.Y.) — Ascension?
- Jubel 2010 American Strong Ale (Deschutes Brewing, Bend, OR) — All about price.
- Keelhauler Scottish Ale (Full Sail Brewing, Hood River, OR) — Very steady seasonal
- Kiwanda Cream Ale (Pelican Brewing, Pacific City, OR) — Great alternative to hoppy madness.
- Konig Pilsner (Germany) — Does what it’s supposed to, a good beer-back.
- Lawnmower Lager (Caldera Brewing, Ashland, OR) — Smooth, Simple, great lager.
- Line Dry Rye (Oakshire Brewing, Eugene, OR) — Another close call, but go ahead and enjoy.
- Loser (Elysian Brewing, Seattle WA) –A little past it’s prime, bland.
- Lucky 13 (Lagunitas Brewing, Petaluma, CA) — Hoppy going in, smooth on the out.
- Maiden the Shade (Ninkasi Brewing, Eugene, OR) — Dan Likes it, so . . .
- Monk’s Blood (21st Amendment Brewery, San Francisco, CA) — A Top 5 choice on this list.
- Oregon Pale Ale (Fire Mountain Brew House, Carlton, OR) — Rookie of the Year.
- Paulina Lake Pilsner (Cascade Lakes Brewing, Redmond, OR) — Pungent, very!!
- Raspberry Brown Ale (Lost Coast Brewing, Eureka, CA) — Best enjoyed cold, or warm
- Ruben & the Jets (Lagunitas Brewing, Petaluma, CA) — A tribute album that works.
- Russian Imperial Stout (Stone Brewing, Escondido, CA) — A slight disagreement, but good enough.
- Siletz Oatmeal Cream Stout (Siletz Brewing, Siletz, OR) — Not our cup of coffee.
- Snakebite Porter (Silver Moon Brewing, Bend, OR) — Use only if options are limited.
- Spring Reign Ale (Ninkasi Brewing, Eugene, OR) — We are reborn.
- Stockyard Oatmeal Stout (Stockyard Brewing, Chicago, IL) — Go ahead, have another.
- Top Sail Imperial Porter (Full Sail Brewing, Hood River, OR) — mmmm, bourbon
- The Wise ESB (Elysian Brewing, Seattle WA) — unpredictable.
- Wild Raspberry Ale (Great Divide Brewing, Denver, CO) — maybe ice cold, . . . or not.
Whiskies:
- McCarthy’s (Clear Creek Distillery, Portland, OR) — Young and Peaty, busy and good.
- Wathen’s Kentucky Bourbon (Charles Medley Distillery, KY) — very,very smooth
