Episode 28: Throttling The Internet (This Beer is a Beer)

Our second attempt at this episode, the first lost to real technological failure.  Unfortunately our first attempt was our most bestest podcast ever.  Version 2.0 of this episode is simply more of the same.  Sorry.

In Version 2.0 we discuss licensing and regulation of the Internet and other things that can be regulated, or not.

The Beer:  BB Burgerbrau Lager from the Czech Republic

P.S. The Damned United is quite a good view, even if you have no interest in English Football.

Episode 26: Dan Gets A Job

As episode 26  is quite late in getting from editing to air the title will be old news for those who know either of us.  Still, in this episode we ruminate about what having an income might mean, where money could or should be spent.  Television programming, Buffy comics, and modern dance waft in and out of the program.  Go figure.

This episode’s beer is Full Sail’s Top Sail Imperial Porter.  A bourbon barrel aged brew that we enjoy while wandering amongst the topics.

Episode 24: The Supreme Court . . . Ah, Those Guys Are So Funny.

It is the night before Obama’s first State of the Union address and we choose to declare the end of the world as we know it.  Who wouldn’t, what with recent Supreme Court decisions, recent Massachusetts elections, recent Obama policy announcements echoing those of his Presidential rival’s, and a recent and very boring NFL post season, that may show the sport for what it is, 11 minutes of action surrounded by commercials.  I mean, what’s not to rant about?

We drink Blue Moon Brewing’s Full Moon Winter Ale while ranting.

Now, the key statement here is that we taped this the night before the State of the Union.  So, a quick poll:

  1. We were way off base in our assertions
  2. We were correct as usual
  3. Screw polls, polling, and pollsters.

Feel free to use the comments to enter your choice.

Podcast 3: Vision, or Some Such Thing

We crack open a Snake Bite Porter, from Silver Moon Brewing in Bend, and discuss what’s in store for our country as President Obama puts forth his budget plans and outlines our withdrawal from Iraq.  Somehow Joss Whedon gets mentioned and we refuse to apologize to Rush Limbaugh

Episode the First, Warts and All

Here it is, the first episode of The Failure Option.

In it we discuss President Obama’s speech to the joint houses of Congress and the state of the recession while enjoying some Stockyard Oatmeal Stout from Stockyard Brewing in Chicago.  We were going to discuss some other things until we discovered how long we rambled.  Yikes!
